Kieran on Shaun:
Shaun and I work very closely together both onstage and in the general ML/Rhymes scheme of things and I value both his awesome playing and his desire to succeed very highly. I have never needed to lend Streety any money, which I think is great and he's normally the first one onstage to turn and acknowledge a drum fill that actually went well for me. Streety is also the most unhinged member of the group and struggles with sanity on a daily basis.
Jason on Shaun:
Streety is like a year 2000 flower child, a sort of modern hippy. He is also the most unbelieveable bass player you could want to work with but he he's sometimes unpredictable so you have to pay attention, and to this day, the only person I know who would take the statement 'dance like no-one's watching' literally.
Chris on Shaun:
I've always been amazed at how many weird and wonderful facets there are to Shaun Streets personality. He could possibly be the only hippy in history to own a Corvette. Outright. Musically speaking, Shaun may as well have the surname Murphy. Never has an outside musician fit in so naturally within the sibling bond my brothers and I share. Shaun first slipped into the band with the role of surrogate older brother. Enlightening us with notions of 'insuring your musical equipment' and ways of running the finances better, but pretty quickly slipped into the role of youngest brother, constantly running late and still laughing at farts. Shaun reminds of a nutty professor. Absent minded, forgetful and often erratic, yet capable of brilliance beyond my wildest expectations. A rough diamond, but a diamond all the same.
Courtney on Shaun:
Shaun and I like to be in close proximity onstage, our ability to feed off each other musically is very important, and we're good rooming buddies. Shaun and I are almost literally chalk and cheese on so many things, it's a mystery why we get along so well, it must be his incessant enthusiastic giggles that rub off on me. Shaun can make light of any given situation. He's also a bloody great bass player.
Clayton on Shaun:
Ahh…Shaun. What can you say about him? Shaun. Shauny. Streets. Streety. Hippie. Corporate Hippie. The Bohemian Robester. The Need-to-Know Bassist. I can say he’s got a lot of nicknames, ha ha ha. Seriously though, Shaun is a truly unique part of the band. Rarely playing the same song the same way…ever, he brings fluidity and flexibility to the group’s sound. The oldest fellow in the line-up, he has an uncanny knack of being adult and professional as well as giggly and immature. His laidback nature lets him give anything a red hot go. I’ve dropped him in the deep end several times during a Wesley gig, and he always comes up swimming. Shaun is a wonderful friend and he’s great to be on stage with. He manages to be the only one of us who really looks like a rock star at times…maybe that’s just because he’s hung over.
